The Wait Continues

It’s been a while since I have updated and I figured I was overdue. We are still at a standstill when it comes to starting the IVF process - we want to have all of the money in place before we start. Because of those who have generously donated to our fund (thank you), babysitting jobs I have had on the side, as well as our own savings - we are a third of the way to our goal of $15,500! We are so very excited and thankful that we have gotten this far and we are trusting in God that He will continue to help us get the remainder of the funds needed to have our baby.

As you can imagine, Kristofer and I have talked about this process a lot. There are times where we struggle with the heartbreak and frustration that we have to work so hard to have a family of our own. Thankfully there are more times of us acknowledging that this is God’s path for our life right now. God sees the big picture and we see what is right in front of us. It is hard to fully understand why God is having us walk through this, but we are thankful that He is by our side through it all. We are thankful that we are able to help others who unfortunately are going through the same process that we are. We are also thankful to have the peace that at the end of all of this, we will have a child of our own. We are thankful for His promise.

This definitely isn’t an easy adventure but we are thankful that we have each other, as well as our family and friends. I don’t think I would be able to get through this without the support of our loved ones. It has been such a blessing to know that people continue to pray for us and continue to share our story with others.

So as we wait for our family, Kristofer and I will continue to dream and talk about what it will be like when we finally have a child of our own. We will continue to dream about what our children will look like, whose personality they will have more of and who they will be all on their own. We will continue to talk about how we want to parent and how we want our family to function. We will continue to dream about family vacations and adventures. We will continue to do all of this as we try to live our lives, in this moment, to the fullest. We continue to enjoy our time together, spending whatever moments we have making wonderful memories to last a lifetime.

Thank you for the continued prayer and support. Don’t forget that if you are in need of a babysitter, contact me. All money I earn babysitting goes directly to our IVF fund. If you want to donate directly to our IVF fund, you can do so on our GoFundMe page.

We will never be able to fully express how thankful we are for your continued prayer and support - Thank You!
